Ferma is located at the area with most sunshine in Europe full of pine and olive oil trees, one of most beautiful in Crete. It is a traditional village, which because of its location combines with a unique way mountain and sea alike. In village there are a lot shops and restaurants that can fulfill your every need. |

S I G H T S E E I N G During your stay you could explore the greater region. Every corner of this blessed land is full of ancient ruins and memories of a glorious past, which starts long before Minoan civilization and travels through history until early days. There are many historical orthodox churches and monasteries, as well as Venetian Castles. Recent excavations near Ferma have revealed two estates one from the minoan period and one from the roman one. Finally the small church at "Agia Fotia" deserves a visit and its only 1 mile east of village. B E A C H E S Crete and especially Lasithi is proud and well known for, its wonderful beaches and the crystal clear sea waters. You could enjoy and relax at the sandy beach which is located besides the village, and is physically protected from wind. In the near small valley of "Agia Fotia" there is also a sandy beach, as well as at "Panemidi" at "Galini", where without any distraction you can get to know better Cretan sun and sea. Finally if you prefer a more quite beach you could find what you are looking for at "Ahia" only 3 miles east. |
